Over the past few week, I’ve been part of several conversations in an online group where we have been talking about our dreams.
A few of the things I’ve learned about dreaming:
Don’t confuse dreaming with goals
Allow yourself to be creative with your dreams. I like to remind myself that these dreams don’t have to come true, but they don’t have to not come true either.
Don’t let time pass without taking any action on your dreams.
Let your dream evolve as you evolve.
Don’t let people (often well-meaning) take your dreams from you with ill-timed comments, discouragement, or “that look”.
When you’re ready, prioritize you’re dreams to make them a reality.
Don’t be discouraged by time passing. Dreams can live long.
Share your dreams with a friend that will understand your zest.
Don’t let bad habits ruin your dreams chances. Like sleeping in late. Or eating bon bons all day. Or any other imaginable habits counterproductive to dreams.
Work diligently on your dreams. But also don’t kill your dream by working it to death and not enjoying life.
I could go on and on. But those were my big take-aways. What kind of dreams do you have? Do you have any tips on reaching for your dreams are not getting discouraged?
